“Books are a man’s best friend”. They’re with us when one feels lonely. Books play a very important role in our lives, guiding and helping us in various aspects of life all the time while giving us overwhelming joy.

There are a variety of books for one to choose from and a number of options for one to read.
Be it fiction, classics, non-fiction, romantic, comics, the list goes on and on. Each author has his/her own and unique style of writing. He may write the book from his perception (in the form of a character) in the way Rick Riordan has written The Percy Jackson Series, or in a second person’s point of view like in the Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling. It can also be in the type of a diary or journal which is used in the very popular “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” Series.

Fiction is one of the most admired types of books, in my opinion. These books have a vast amount of imagination, creativity and the capability to take you inside its very own world where almost anything is possible, which is one of the reasons why it is so popular.

Nevertheless, non-fiction books are not that different. The stories in these books are based on the real world. You don’t drift away to an imaginary world but you are anchored to reality and yet, the book gives you the familiarity of being closer to that book. These books make you wise and the writing styles in these books are just wonderful.

But, classics are the ultimate source of enjoyment and delight if you really adore dramatic flairs, screaming, crying, perfect storms, unexpected twists and an impeccable style of writing. To name a few – Romeo Juliet, Tempest, Great expectations, The Merchant of Venice and Christmas Carols. The form of English used in these books, the information obtained about the culture and society of that era, the dressing style! It surely makes one to crave for more and more. All in all, books are just awesome!

But I’ve got to say, fiction is the king of books. The author makes the impossible possible and charms his readers with his thoughts and originality, making them believe, for a moment, that the story is real.
Some must-reads:- The Divergent Series, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Hunger Games Trilogy, The Percy Jackson Series, The Lord of The Rings, The Fault in Our Stars and The Mortal Instruments.
